Writer Terms, Conditions, and Policies
Welcome to Olib's Writer Program. By applying to become a writer or continuing to use our platform as a writer, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms, conditions, and policies:
1. Writer Eligibility and Account
- You must be at least 18 years old to become an Olib writer.
- You must provide accurate and complete information during the application process.
- Your account is subject to approval by Olib. We reserve the right to reject any application without providing a reason.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
2. Writer Responsibilities
- Produce original, high-quality content that meets the specified requirements for each assignment.
- Adhere to academic integrity standards and avoid any form of plagiarism.
- Meet deadlines for assigned tasks.
- Respond promptly to client queries and revision requests.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions on the platform.
3. Quality Control and Review Process
- All submitted work is subject to quality review by Olib's team.
- Clients have 48 hours after task completion to request revisions or appeal.
- Writers are expected to address revision requests promptly and professionally.
- Repeated quality issues may result in account suspension or termination.
4. Compensation and Payments
- Payment rates will be clearly communicated for each assignment.
- Payments will be processed through M-Pesa after the 48-hour review period, provided no appeals are pending.
- Writers are responsible for any taxes or fees associated with their earnings.
- Olib reserves the right to withhold payment in cases of policy violations or quality concerns.
5. Intellectual Property and Confidentiality
- All work produced through the Olib platform is considered work-for-hire and becomes the property of the client upon payment.
- Writers must maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information and assignment details.
- Writers are prohibited from sharing, publishing, or reusing any content created for Olib clients without explicit permission.
6. Communication and Support
- Writers must use the Olib platform for all client communications.
- Off-platform communication or transactions are strictly prohibited and may result in account termination.
- Olib provides support for writers through our designated channels. Writers are expected to use these channels for any issues or inquiries.
7. Termination and Account Suspension
- Olib reserves the right to suspend or terminate a writer's account for violations of these terms, quality issues, or any other reason deemed necessary.
- Writers may voluntarily terminate their account by contacting Olib support.
- Upon termination, any pending payments will be processed according to our standard payment schedule, provided all quality standards are met.
8. Changes to Terms and Policies
- Olib may update these terms, conditions, and policies at any time.
- Writers will be notified of any significant changes via email or through the platform.
- Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
9. Dispute Resolution
- Any disputes between writers and Olib will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the laws of Kenya.
- Writers agree to resolve any client disputes through Olib's mediation process before seeking external resolution.
By creating an account, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms, conditions, and policies. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not proceed with account creation.
